Mare
Aloja Mare is a red wine from DO Montsant, crafted from low-yield old vines. Some of the grapes are grown on slate soils. This wine is a fine representation of the region, full of nuances, with black and red fruits, sweet spices, balsamic notes, and abundant minerality, all balanced by great freshness. Though it has a robust body, it remains elegant, balanced, persistent, and never heavy. Aloja Mare offers an experience that takes you on a journey through the rolling hills and mountains of Priorat.

Illustration by Oriol Malet. Immerse yourself in the enchantment of the ALOJA wine series, inspired by Catalan mythological figures: water nymphs, beings of incomparable beauty who dwell in the depths of our landscapes. Behind these magical figures lies an entire universe of fantasy and charm. According to legend, these water entities can only be seen on the magical night of the summer solstice, reflected in the serene waters of lakes, rivers, and waterfalls.
The choice of this nymph pays homage to the sensitivity, depth, and harmony that characterize the wines in this collection.

Big My Secret by Michael Nyman
Just as food pairing enhances a wine's flavors, musical pairing can amplify the emotions and sensations that arise while tasting. When combining music and wine, both experiences intensify, creating a unique sensory universe.
Are You In the Mood? by Stéphan Grappelli & Le Hot Club de France: This piece, with its lively rhythms and playful melodies, perfectly mirrors the freshness and balance of Aloja Mare. Gypsy jazz transports us to a vibrant tavern filled with joy and vitality. The music’s energy complements the wine's smooth and fresh entry. The interplay of guitar and violin dances with the notes of ripe red and black fruits, creating a synergy that ignites the senses.
Big My Secret by Michael Nyman: Laden with emotion and depth, this piece connects with the more mysterious and enigmatic side of Aloja Mare. The piano’s accompaniment intertwines with the wine’s cedar notes and mineral nuances, while the evocative melodic progressions resonate with the wine’s complex layers of sweet spices and balsamic notes. Nyman's music transports us through the hills and mountains of Priorat, inviting introspection that echoes the wine’s persistence.
