It features notes of green apple, pear, and citrus peel, evoking walks along streams, under the shade of flowering acacia and orange blossom trees, with the refreshing essence of basil and mint.

Wines carry with them the story of the land they come from, and sometimes even deeper stories intertwined with culture and tradition. This is the case with Aloja Blanc, whose label captures the magic of Catalan mythology through this illustration by Oriol Malet. The water nymph depicted, a mythical creature, mirrors the ethereal and captivating beauty of this wine. According to tradition, these nymphs only appear to humans during the magical night of the summer solstice when the waters of lakes, rivers, and waterfalls shimmer with a special light.
This white wine, originating from DO Terra Alta, unfolds like one of these rare appearances. With its base of Red Grenache Blanca and the sophisticated touch of Macabeo, Aloja Blanc offers a dance of vibrant flavors and refreshing, magical aromas, brought to life through this illustration.

PAIRING
Canon in D Major by Johann Pachelbel
The serene and repetitive melody of Canon in D Major by Johann Pachelbel perfectly mirrors the complexity and delicacy of Aloja Blanc. The harmonious, cyclical notes of the Canon evoke the freshness and natural rhythm of elements like streams and blossoming trees, which Aloja Blanc seeks to convey.
Red Grenache Blanca and Macabeo blend together in harmony, much like the intertwining melodic lines of the Canon to form a complete, perfectly balanced piece. The progression of the music, with its gentle rises and falls, reflects the wine's evolution as it ages, transitioning from fresh and youthful notes to more profound and herbaceous ones, culminating in a smoky and sweet finish.
Pairing wine with music is not only about taste or aroma but also about how music can enhance and expand the sensory experience of the wine, transporting us to places and moments that can only be experienced through this unique combination.
